Alain Locke By Olivia McCandless

Marcus Garvey By Nate Bernstein

W.E.B. Du Bois By Alden Frankel and William Frankel

The Activists of the Harlem Renaissance were some of the most inspiring and influential ever. Without the work and sacrifices they made, America would not be the same way it is today. Many of them raised knowledge about the issues of segregation and many were present at famous court cases and protests. These three men were only some of those great people, but their work specifically will be remembered for many years to come.

Some of the foot prints that were left by these men are still here to prove their tale, Alain Locke wrote one of the most famous Harlem Renaissance pieces of all time titled The New Negro. Marcus Garvey has buildings and streets named after him in many different countries. He also was one of the inspirers for the red, black, and green black liberation flag. And W.E.B Du Bois started the famous NAACP, and was the first African American to receive a P.H.D from Harvard.
